When The Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. (UK) Limited, Howden, East Yorkshire, were looking for new flooring for their staff recess areas they turned to resin flooring specialist ACC Flooring Limited for the answer. Founded in Marysville, Ohio in 1868, they needed an attractive and welcoming surface that met with their high safety standards and at the recommendation of ACC they chose a bespoke vinyl flake flooring system from Resdev Limited.
Resdev have recently launched their new range of Specialist Designer Flooring Systems to meet the requirement of a global commercial market for design led specifications to compliment corporate branding. With this in mind, Resdev’s Intrica Illumnia and Glitterati were used as the basis for the bespoke colour combination. Intrica Illumnia is a collection of delicate and subtle whites, creams and greys with pale silver or rich gold tarnish free metallic flakes and Intrica Glitterati brings together a blend of bright and exciting colours. They are a seamless, hardwearing and hygienic alternative to traditional contract flooring and are ideal for commercial, showroom and leisure environments.
The staff recess areas consist of a fully operation kitchen, eating area and relaxation/media area with a bright a lively colour scheme. It is open to all employees and as such it is subjected to regular foot traffic from office and factory staff as well as visitors. The floor not only needed to be attractive and fit in with the lime green, citrus yellow and grey palette, it also needed to be tough and easy to clean.
